ISS Conference 2021

ACM International Conference on Interactive Surfaces and Spaces (ISS) is an annual premier venue for research addressing the design, development and use of new and emerging tabletop, digital surface, interactive spaces and multi-surface technologies. This year the ISS Conference took place in Łódź, Poland at Lodz University of Technology. Our group was involved in organising and promoting this amazing event and some of our members attended the event as student volunteers.

The conference was held in hybrid format. It started on November 14 and ended on November 17.

First day was all about the workshop on Transitional Interfaces in Mixed and Cross-Reality: A new frontier? Next days were filled with presentations divided into thematical sessions. On November 15 also Poster and Demo Reception was organised. On the third day of the conference our guests had an opportunity to get to know the city of Łódź – they were invited to the city tour the main point being The Museum of Textiles.

During the event we witnessed many amazing presentations, met researchers from all around the world, drank a lot of coffee and attended the award announcement at conference dinner in Andel’s hotel.

The event was organised in collaboration with ACM, SIGCHI and PTI.
