UbiCOMP is an interdisciplinary research group at Lodz University of Technology, exploring how emerging interactive technologies can benefit the way people cope with information systems in their daily lives. Our research focus is set on following fields:

UbiCOMP acts as a research group investigating various aspects of human – computer interaction. Our vision is to design, build, develop and test innovative interactive systems, that not only alleviate defined problems, but also offer engaging and meaningful experiences to the users. Our research is focused on exploring user experiences and designing tools which employ emerging technologies to address the needs of modern societies.
Cutting - edge technology
UbiCOMP Engineering Club members share their passion to exploring relationships between users and technology through organising lectures, workshops, fairs and summer schools. In our classes we introduce students and professionals to user-centered design, human-computer interaction and D-school Design Thinking methods. We enjoy spreading the word on HCI and convincing engineers design is important. We also organise fun-and-learn events for the youngest members of the community.

UbiCOMP Engineering Club members actively take part in numerous scientific endeavours throughout the academic year. Their main research focus is on assistive technologies, haptic interfaces and facilitating learning with the use of education. When working on projects, students critically use the knowledge they have collectively acquired to develop a solution to the problem, seeking and developing new knowledge as needed. By taking an active role in projects, students develop their engineering and team collaboration analytical thinking skills.
